I attended Iris’s 2nd annual Under the Influence event last week. I spent my afternoon mainly camped out at the sessions held in ”The Dive Inn” aka The George Inn near Borough Market listening to speakers from Iris Experiential, Contagious Magazine, Frukt and Poke.
For my round-up of their “best bits” I’ve written a few posts on the speakers.
Paul Kemp-Robertson, Contagious Magazine
Paul is one of those types who lives so at the bleeding edge of what’s happening in the world it makes you feel a bit backward. If you don’t know what Contagious does on reporting future trends then check out one of their Most Contagious reports.
Paul spoke on a subject close to my heart (I’m sad), immersive marketing or “advertising which doesn’t feel like advertising.” He talked through some good examples of how this can work including one I’d totally missed, the promotion for the recent Dark Knight film which I was pretty in awe of - especially having grown up in a family of comic book fanatics.
His top trend tip? Everything will move to mobile.
